Enhanced risk for severe weather across far northeast NE tonight. Main threats would be large hail and strong winds. There is also a slight risk across the rest of the area, although confidence is much lower in the overall location and coverage of storms over this area.
The Columbus, NE NOAA Weather Radio is currently off the air due to a power failure of some sort at the transmitter site. Technicians have been notified.
Severe thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon and evening as a cold front moves into Nebraska and Iowa, tapping a warm and humid atmosphere. Large hail, damaging winds will be the primary hazards. Severe storms are possible again Tuesday afternoon and evening as well.
